Project Objectives
The primary aim of the website redesign project was to create a more accessible, user-friendly, and engaging digital experience for frontline workers across Australia. A key focus was ensuring the platform aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility considerations while improving navigation, content discoverability, and access to training information.
Design Process
Discovery Phase: Conducted extensive UX research, stakeholder workshops, focus groups, persona development, user journey mapping, and accessibility analysis to better understand audience needs.
Wireframing: Developed wireframes to establish content hierarchy, navigation structures, and user pathways before progressing into visual design.
Mock-up Development: Designed high-fidelity concepts in Adobe Creative Cloud, focusing on accessibility, clarity, and emotional sensitivity.
Iterative Design: Collaborated closely with stakeholders throughout the project, refining layouts and content structures based on feedback and usability considerations.
Prototype Testing: Reviewed and refined the experience across desktop and mobile devices, ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and ease of use.
Design & Development Process
The finalised design was developed and deployed on Continuum, Web Force 5's proprietary content management system. The platform provides a scalable and flexible foundation that allows the DV-alert team to manage content efficiently while supporting future growth and program expansion.
Conclusion
The collaboration between DV-alert and Web Force 5 resulted in a modern, accessible, and scalable platform that improves access to training information while supporting the program's long-term growth and impact.
